For all his Jedi wisdom, he was not much of a tactician.
He and Obi Wan should have faced palpatine together. Then if
necessary, they should have faced Vader together.
Would have saved Luke a lot of effort.
Clearly, Palpy's assessment of the Jedi -- that their arrogance blinds
them -- is dead on.
You'd think after watching the security footage of Palpy wiping out
Mace and the B-Team, Yoda would've been a little more cautious. Come to
think of it, why was Obi-Wan even able to access what happened in
Palpatine's office (we at least see Anakin pledge himself)? Did the
Jedi Temple have Coruscant C-Span on its Tivo?
The holo Yoda and Obi watch of Anakin talking to Sidious is not from
Palpy's office.
1. The dialogue is different.
2. Sidious is wearing his cowl.
What happened is that Palpy came over to the Temple after the attack
was over, and repeated his instructions to Anakin to go to Mustafar.
The holo is not from Palpy's office.
Why didn't Palpy erase the Jedi Temple security footage?

Why didn't Palpy erase the Jedi Temple security footage?
Probably because palpy is / was so cold & calculating he firmly believed
that by keeping the footage available to the Jedi, it would drive an even
bigger wedge between everyone, especially between Obi-wan & Anakin.

Had obi not seen the footage, then he might have arranged a rescue mission
to get Anakin back, but after seeing the footage, he would realise Anakin
was a lost cause, and now a servant of palpy.

More likely was that Palpatine simply didn't care about the possibility
of Jedi Temple security cameras. He probably also assumed that all the
Jedi would be killed by the Clone Troopers, either out in the galaxy or
when lured back to the Temple by the faked message.
