What mistakes did Obi-Wan make in training Anakin?

Qui-Gon would have been the fatherly mentor Anakin needed. Obi-Wan was more
of a big brother, with all the sibling rivalry and sometimes harsh treament
that entailed. Anakin needed a more understanding and loving hand in his
guidance, as his rough circumstances dictated. Obi-Wan was never able to
fill that parental role properly.

He didn't want Anakin trained at all. Obi-Wan's deathside promise to Qui-Gon
was the only reason the kid got trained.

He didn't want Anakin trained at all. Obi-Wan's deathside promise to Qui-Gon
was the only reason the kid got trained.

It was my understanding that the Jedi Council overruled Yoda and ordered that
Anakin be trained. In that case, why didn't Yoda train Anakin in person (as
long as the Jedi Council wanted him trained anyway, shouldn't Yoda make certain
that Anakin got the best training available?)?

Why didn't Qui-Gon ask that Yoda train Anakin? Shouldn't the most Force
sensitive person in history get training from the best Jedi Master in the
galaxy?

Was he really the best? Look at the line of padawans from Yoda - Darth
Tyranus, Qui Gonn, Obi and Vader. Two sith lords and two masters who
didn't mind bucking the council. Maybe Anakin would have been better
off with a more dispassionate master.

Qui Gon was trained by a Sith Lord?????? How come he didn't become a Sith Lord
too?
